Since the COVID pandemic has arrived in Canada (and around the world), we have seen a spike in pet adoptions. This is an amazing thing – for the new pet owner and for the pet. However, one of the other spikes we see on an almost daily basis at the hospital is the need for new owner to attach “a story” to their pet's behaviours – particularly in the instance of “rescue” dogs. In rescue situations, many of the dogs arrive with unknown histories and many of the dogs demonstrate specific or generalized fear and anxiety.
With recent changes to restrictions on businesses, we have made some important updates to our operating policies.
1. WE CAN NOW SEE ALL CASES BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
This includes vaccines, wellness exams, blood work, heartworm testing, spays and neuters, dental services, and more!
2. SAFETY MEASURES TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE
If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, been diagnosed with COVID or been in close contact with someone exhibiting COVID symptoms, please do not put our staff at risk. Let us know in advance and we can make alternate arrangements to have your pet examined without you present.
Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. Our appointment schedule is fully booked so a late arrival may result in a rescheduled appointment.
Upon your arrival, please call 705-566-7280 for further instructions. Once we are ready for you to come in, we will call you back to let you know it's your turn.
Only one family member will be allowed to enter the facility.
All clients entering the facility must be wearing a properly fitted mask.
Make sure that your pet has secure restraints in place: cats should be in a carrier or some other type of secure device and dogs should either be wearing a collar that will not slip over the head or a properly fitted harness.
You must follow directions from staff and maintain social distancing rules for the duration of the time you are in the hospital. Our staff will handle your pet during the exam and you must remain in the designated space in the exam room.
Continue the use of credit cards as the preferred payment method.
Continue with curbside pickup of food and medication (unless you have used our online store and are having your order delivered directly to your home). To place an order through our online store, visit our website and click on "Online Store".
We are excited to allow clients in again, however please be patient as we must continue to disinfect all surfaces between appointments. As we work to care for our beloved patients, please be kind. Any abuse towards our staff will not be tolerated and will result in denial of service.

We are OPEN with the following hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 8 am - 6 pm Wednesday: 8 am - 7 pm Friday: 8 am - 4 pm Saturday & Sunday: Closed
